BMFPD provides fire protection and medical response to
Pine Brook Hills, Boulder Heights and Carriage Hills. It consists of
approximately 50 volunteers led by a professional fire chief, and is
governed by a seven person Board representing specific geographical
districts.
Our district is in the urban-wildland interface, and with our abundant
Ponderosa forests, at high risk for wildland fires.
Serving as a volunteer with BMFPD or the
Auxiliary is an interesting and exciting way to
learn new skills, meet some of your neighbors and serve the community you
live in. Volunteers are much appreciated by the residents they serve, and
applications for memberships are always welcome. Contact Chief John
Benson if you would like to volunteer. Training sessions are held
twice each month, usually on a Wednesday evening and a Saturday morning.
BMFPD also provides First Responder and Fire
Mitigation Services. There is a separate training schedule for medical
responders, plus several joint fire and medical exercises each year.
Volunteers may serve either as medical or fire volunteers or both.
